If you have made it this far, thank you! Let's dive in...
What if I told you to take a break from Instagram for a few days. Now, stick with me for a moment. Let me re-phrase.
What if I told you to take a break from the stress of Instagram for a few days...or even a month?
One of the things I hear from people on a consistent basis is that they love Instagram, they just don't know where to start in order to get their product or service noticed. A lot of times they don't have enough images to post and they are bored with trying to find content. It happens. I get it. But there is something I want to share with you. A little secret.
Instagram is a waste of your time unless you are posting on a consistent basis.
Okay, Jana. Ouch. I thought you were nice, but that was a little hurtful.
I know. It hurt my feelings too in the beginning. The truth always stings. But, I know you and I know you are reading this for a reason. So, hang in here with me and let me explain the why.
Why is it a waste of time?
You know that feeling of dread when you feel the pressure to post, but you don't understand the process. Or you just don't have a nice image to post, so you decide it can wait for one more day. Well... it weighs on you. It nags you. And every time you miss a day of posting, it turns into a week or a month and that...that makes you feel like a failure.
And in that moment. Instagram becomes a huge waste of time.
But, it doesn't have to be that way. The way to make Instagram a success for your business can be boiled down to one thing.
You need to post something. Every. Single. Day.
It's just that simple.
You have got to show up on a consistent basis and interact with people. I don't care how bored you are, how tired you are...how much you hate social media. If you want to grow a following on one of the largest FREE marketing platforms in the world...you need to give some attention to this powerful picture posting palace.
Now, this is how I'm going to help take the stress away. I've created a bundle of 24 square format images that all coordinate and look amazing together. Not only that, I've created a posting guide for you to follow. It shows you which image to post each day. All you have to do is follow the guide and Boom!
Here's what it is going to look like. You are going to show up on Instagram every day for 5 minutes. Use your lunch break, take your phone to the bathroom with you. I don't care what it takes, set this time aside. Every day. Post your picture for the day with a simple caption. Then, post your hashtags in the comment under the picture (this takes less than one minute) now interact with people for four minutes. Not sure how to do that? What is your business? For instance, I sell stock photos. My target audience is DIY bloggers, female business owners that work from home and moms that sell homemade or MLM products. Popular hashtags I hang out on are #thatsdarling #creativelifehappylife #etsyseller #therisingtidesociety, etc. You get the point. I go to those hashtags and I look for people that may find my stock photos helpful. I leave a comment, I like 3 or 4 of their photos and if I'm interested in their account...I hit the follow button. That's it. Wash, rinse, repeat.
If I can do it, you can too.
So, here's your plan of action for the next 24 days. Post one of the square format jpeg images from this bundle each day (you can take the weekend off). Write an engaging caption, a helpful tip or even a quote. Put up to 30 relevant hashtags in your comment directly after you post ( I suggest 15 to start with) and then...spend the rest of your time showing up on other people's feeds. Go find them. Interact with them. Laugh at their jokes, compliment them...make them notice you. Because you are loveable my friend. You have something to offer, you just need to help people find you. Am I right?
No more shoulda, coulda, woulda. It's time to get stuff done and this handy tool is your first step to a whole new world!
Now, get the bundle and let's get started. I'll see you there!
